Warranty Policy

Last Updated: October 7, 2026

At Magicool Corporation, we stand behind the quality of our commercial refrigeration equipment. This Limited Commercial Warranty explains the warranty coverage, service procedures, exclusions, and limitations applicable to eligible Magicool products.

1. Warranty Coverage

Magicool provides the following limited warranty coverage for eligible new commercial refrigeration equipment.

Warranty Coverage Warranty Period What's Covered
Parts & Labor 1 Year Covered defects in materials or workmanship, including eligible replacement parts and standard authorized repair labor.
Compressor 3 Years Total Compressor replacement part only during Years 2–3. Labor and related service expenses are excluded during this extended period.

The warranty period begins on the documented delivery date to the original purchaser. For approved customer pickup orders, coverage begins on the pickup date.

Repair or replacement of a product or component does not restart or extend the original warranty period, except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed to in writing by Magicool.

2. Warranty Eligibility

This Limited Commercial Warranty applies to new Magicool commercial refrigeration equipment purchased through Magicool's official sales channels, unless a product listing or written sales agreement expressly provides different warranty terms.

Warranty coverage is provided to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable, subject to applicable law.

Proof of purchase may be required to verify warranty eligibility.

3. Approved Use and Service Area

Magicool commercial refrigeration equipment is designed for indoor, stationary commercial applications, including restaurants, commercial kitchens, convenience stores, cafés, and other suitable commercial establishments.

Products must be installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with the applicable product manual, specifications, and installation requirements.

Unless expressly approved in writing by Magicool before purchase, the standard commercial warranty does not cover equipment used in:

  • Outdoor environments.

  • Mobile applications, including food trucks and trailers.

  • Temporary or non-permanent installations.

  • Residential or household applications.

  • Other environments outside the manufacturer's approved operating conditions.

On-site warranty service, where available, is limited to Magicool's designated Los Angeles service area.

Equipment must be installed in a safe and reasonably accessible location.

Relocating equipment does not automatically void unrelated parts coverage. However, service outside the designated service area, additional transportation expenses, or relocation-related service costs may require separate arrangements and written approval.

Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

4. What the Warranty Covers

First Year — Parts & Labor

During the first year, Magicool will, at its discretion and subject to applicable law, repair or replace eligible defective components resulting from defects in materials or workmanship.

Coverage includes:

  • Eligible replacement parts.

  • Reasonable standard labor required for authorized diagnosis and repair of a confirmed covered defect.

  • Covered refrigeration-system components, including the compressor.

  • Other covered electrical and mechanical components.

All warranty repairs must follow Magicool's service authorization procedures.

Second and Third Years — Compressor Only

During Years 2 and 3, the extended warranty covers the replacement compressor component only when the compressor fails due to a covered defect in materials or workmanship.

The extended compressor warranty does not include:

  • Installation or replacement labor.

  • Diagnostic or service-call charges.

  • Technician travel expenses.

  • Refrigerant or refrigerant charging.

  • Filter driers, tubing, and other related components.

  • Other expenses associated with compressor replacement.

These expenses are the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

5. Warranty Service and Authorization

Customers must contact Magicool before arranging warranty repairs.

Magicool will determine the appropriate service method and may arrange a qualified service provider or supply replacement parts, depending on the nature of the issue.

Customers must obtain prior written authorization from Magicool before requesting reimbursement for third-party diagnostic or repair services.

Written authorization must identify the approved service provider, scope of work, and applicable charges.

Repair or diagnostic expenses incurred without prior written authorization are not eligible for reimbursement unless otherwise required by applicable law.

An unauthorized repair does not automatically void warranty coverage for unrelated defects. However, damage caused by improper repairs, unauthorized modifications, or incompatible replacement parts is not covered.

Safety Notice: Repairs involving R290 refrigerant or sealed refrigeration systems must be performed by appropriately trained personnel using proper safety procedures and equipment. Customers should not attempt to open refrigerant circuits or perform hazardous repairs themselves.

Service availability and repair schedules may vary depending on technician availability, parts availability, and the nature of the repair.

6. Labor, Service Calls, and Additional Charges

During the first year, Magicool covers reasonable standard diagnostic and repair labor authorized for confirmed warranty-covered defects.

The following additional expenses are not automatically included in standard warranty labor coverage:

  • After-hours, weekend, or holiday service.

  • Expedited or emergency service requests.

  • Unusual installation or equipment-access requirements.

  • Additional labor required to move equipment or remove surrounding structures.

  • Waiting time caused by site-access issues.

  • Nonstandard travel or relocation-related expenses.

Additional charges require disclosure and applicable customer authorization.

If an inspection determines that the reported issue is not caused by a defect covered under this warranty, a reasonable diagnostic or service-call fee may apply.

Any customer-paid diagnostic or service fee will be disclosed in advance and will be subject to customer consent and applicable law.

Magicool will not impose undisclosed or retroactive service charges.

7. Warranty Exclusions

This Limited Commercial Warranty does not cover damage, malfunction, or failure caused by:

  • Misuse, abuse, accidents, negligence, or improper handling.

  • Unauthorized modifications or improperly performed repairs.

  • Improper installation or operation contrary to manufacturer instructions.

  • Inadequate ventilation or insufficient required clearance.

  • Overloading or operation outside specified capacity limits.

  • Improper electrical supply, voltage fluctuations, or unsuitable electrical connections.

  • Failure to perform required cleaning or maintenance.

  • Dirty or obstructed condenser coils.

  • Blocked or improperly maintained drains.

  • Improper temperature settings or operation outside specified environmental conditions.

  • Pest or rodent damage.

  • Corrosion or deterioration caused by unsuitable environmental conditions.

  • Damage occurring during relocation or transportation after delivery.

  • Improper cleaning methods or incompatible cleaning chemicals.

  • Fire, flooding, natural disasters, or other external events.

Normal wear and tear and routine maintenance items are not covered unless the item is defective due to materials or workmanship.

Warranty exclusions apply only when relevant to the cause of the reported failure.

Maintenance Requirements

Customers are responsible for performing routine maintenance in accordance with the product manual.

Extended compressor warranty claims may require reasonable evidence of proper maintenance and qualified refrigeration-system service procedures, including:

  • Use of the specified refrigerant.

  • Proper evacuation and moisture removal when the sealed system is serviced.

  • Replacement of the filter drier when required after opening the refrigeration circuit.

  • Compliance with applicable service and safety requirements.

Missing maintenance records do not automatically invalidate unrelated warranty claims.

Our support team may request additional information, provide troubleshooting guidance, or arrange an appropriate service solution.

Customers must follow the provided instructions and obtain any required written authorization before proceeding with warranty repairs.

Magicool may require reasonable inspection or testing of the defective equipment or component to determine warranty eligibility.

Customers should retain affected components and make the equipment reasonably available for inspection when requested.

Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)

Do not return any equipment or component without receiving written RMA authorization and shipping instructions from Magicool.

Authorized shipping arrangements, inspection procedures, and responsibility for applicable transportation or diagnostic expenses will be specified in the RMA instructions before shipment.

9. Repair, Replacement, and Warranty Remedies

For a confirmed warranty-covered defect, Magicool may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law:

  • Repair the defective component.

  • Provide a replacement component with comparable functionality.

  • Offer another appropriate and lawful remedy when repair is not reasonably feasible.

A warranty claim does not automatically entitle the customer to a new replacement unit or a full refund.

Replacement components do not restart the original warranty period unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed to in writing.

Nothing in this policy limits remedies available under applicable law if an exclusive warranty remedy fails of its essential purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MAGICOOL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR FOOD SPOILAGE, INVENTORY LOSS, LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF BUSINESS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM PRODUCT FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION.

Any limitation or exclusion of liability under this warranty is subject to applicable law, including rights and remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Disclaimer of Implied Warranties

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW FOR COMMERCIAL TRANSACTIONS, MAGICOOL DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. THIS DISCLAIMER DOES NOT APPLY WHERE SUCH WARRANTIES CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.

11. Relationship to Our Return & Refund Policy

Magicool offers a 14-day return request window for eligible returns, subject to the conditions, exclusions, fees, and other requirements stated in our Return & Refund Policy.

The 14-day return period is separate from the warranty coverage described in this policy.

  • 14-Day Return Policy: Applies to eligible return requests under our Return & Refund Policy.

  • 1-Year Parts & Labor Warranty: Applies to eligible product defects during the first year.

  • 3-Year Compressor Warranty: Applies to eligible compressor defects during the three-year warranty period, with compressor-only coverage during Years 2–3.

Submitting a warranty claim does not automatically establish eligibility for a return or refund.

For return eligibility, procedures, applicable fees, and refund information, please refer to our Return & Refund Policy.

Nothing in this section limits statutory rights or remedies available under applicable law.
